January was the best month ever for new stories from me
January was an unexpected marvelous month for either starting and finishing brand-new stories or finally completing stories I started some time ago.
These include three fantasy stories set in the same imagined world:
Baal the Necromancer
The Storyteller of Koss
The Carpetmaker of Arana
Horror stories are:
Hanuman
In His Father's Footsteps
Grudge End Cloggers
Isabel
So far in February I have also completed two horror stories and one fantasy:
Three Eyed Jack
Incandescence
The God in the Keep
And I am currently working on two more stories:
Bloodletting
Whoever Disturbs This Grave

Flash Fiction - The Meeting - to be published in Deep Water Literary Journal, Jan 2015
I am pleased to announce that one of my shortest ever stories, The Meeting, will be published next year in Deep Water Literary Journal. It's just shy of 1,000 words long.

Maggie Dudgeon Presents
Just put the last tweaks to a story I wrote a while ago but was dissatisfied with till I did a thorough rewrite. Maggie Dudgeon Presents is a little tale about the trials and tribulations of an amateur dramatic group and of clashing egos, only very tenuously connected, I would hasten to add, to any groups I have had experience with over the years!

Redundant Flesh
After finishing five short stories in the past month (Sir Hector's Quest, A Grim God's Revenge, Boat Trip, Lem, and Dead Ronnie and I), I've restarted writing a novella (or maybe a short novel) called Redundant Flesh, which I worked on a couple of years ago, but dropped by the wayside. Reading it again this week, I found my interest in it reignited. I'm looking forward to finishing this story of a serial killer.

New Story: Dead Ronnie and I
Incredibly, I managed to finish off another story, one I started some time ago and abandoned. It's a 4,500 word horror story called Dead Ronnie and I. It's the first story I have written involving a seaplane and isolated Scottish islands.
Must look for something else to work on now.

Another story finished - Boat Trip
Another story finished - the fourth this month. It's a horror story called Boat Trip, 4,300 words long, about a pair of fishermen who are inadvertently involved in a secret war against Lovecraftian deep ones.

A Grim God's Revenge
Though I don't write many fantasy stories, I have just completed the second in as many weeks. A Grim God's Revenge comes in at just under four thousand words. Hopefully it will see print in the not too distant future.
